With just the last month left to unfold, we have some seriously tight races for big money prizes.

At the time of this writing, Chris and my Gimps are tied for 1st.  The eventual winner will receive $14,500, 2nd place will receive $9000. There are points to be won in a number of spots, with the most critical  in stolen bases.  Going into today, Chris and I were tied at 130 steals. If someone can eek out a victory here it could swing the entire season. Also big will be my chase of Chris in RBIs, he's currently ahead by 18, but I'm closing the ground. A two point swing there will be huge. PREDICTION: Gimps win by 2.5 points.

Also tightly contested is the battle for 3rd 4th and 5th, with respective prizes of $5000, $3500, and $2000 at stake. Jason told me he thought he could take his team to 3rd when he joined mid-season, and so far he's got a 5 point lead on Peter and Andrew. However, he's certain to lose 2 points in saves and steals which makes the race quite a bit closer.  It looks like his big starting pitching push is paying off. PREDICTION: Jason holds on to 3rd place by 2 points, and Peter nudges out Andrew for 4th. 

The race for 8th, 9th and 10th is also hotly contested, with two points separating Derek from Joe & Jeff, and 2 more from Chad. Each spot is worth an extra $400 of prize money.  PREDICTION: Derek holds off Joe and Jeff by a hair for 8th.
